Nintex Workflow

If you ever built workflows using the SharePoint Designer, you know what a labour-intensive task this is. Nintex workflow is an add-on for SharePoint, with which you built workflows within SharePoint. You use workflows to facilitate business processes such as introducing a new employee or workflows that execute system technical tasks for you like checking in and copying documents. Thanks to the clear-cut visual display of all steps in the workflow, working with Nintex Workflow resembles visual programming.   A workflow that would normally take two days to built, takes only two hours to construct and test with Nintex Workflow, not to mention the extra functionality of Nintex Workflow, such as creating integration with users in the Active Directory.

Pylades uses Nintex Workflow as a tool for integrating Dynamics AX 2009 with SharePoint. E.g. by adding a document to the document library, a workflow is started automatically, that writes information on that document in CRM in AX 2009. Nintex Workflow comes with a reasonably priced "entry-level licence".

Please refer to the website of Nintex for more information or click on downloads.

Below you will find a screen shot of a workflow, with which to create a new project site and save the link to the site in a SharePoint list at the same time, so you are able to keep an overview of all sites.
