Connectivity
Connectivity is the concept Pylades uses for linking Dynamics AX to other sources of information. Many organizations opt for Dynamics AX because everything is integrated into a single package, from project to financial management, from CRM to stock control. A modern package such as Dynamics AX must also be able to communicate with other applications and data sources. Dynamics AX has all it needs to function in a Service Oriented Architecture: exchange of data based on XML documents and web services.
Conectivity Studio en Web Services Studio
To facilitate the implementation of web services within Dynamics AX, we use the standard Extensions Connectivity Studio and Web Services Studio. Thanks to these tools, there is no need for customizing to create interfaces between Dynamics AX and other data sources, because it is all about standard mapping of data.
Nintex Workflow - Sharepoint
An integral part of a Dynamics AX implementation is the use of the Enterprise Portal in SharePoint. The Enterprise Portal is the web based front of Dynamics AX. All of the functionality of SharePoint may be used besides Enterprise Portal, such as document management, web-based forms and moreover, SharePoint is basis for an intra- or extranet. In SharePoint scenarios Pylades uses Nintex Workflow as integration tool. Within the workflows that are built with Nintex, data are exchanged between SharePoint and Dynamics AX by means of web services.
By using these tools, configuring web services is little more than clicking the correct field with the right web service.
